Quarterback Trace Stuht ran for three touchdowns and threw two long scoring strikes Wednesday, as the Bellerose Bulldogs mauled the Harry Ainlay Titans 59-0 in metro Edmonton high school junior exhibition football.

The 2012 premier conference champions scored 17 points in the first quarter and led by 31 at halftime at Clarke Park. It was 52-0 after three quarters.

Slotbacks Kit Liske and Corbin Stewart reeled in 30-plus TD receptions. Corbin’s scoring play was an impressive diving catch at the back of the endzone.

Running back Mitch Kruk surpassed 100 yards on the ground on six carries while scoring three TDs, including a 90-yard gallop in the second quarter.

Multi-purpose threat Terrell Peters also piled up the rushing yards. Jaedon Carroll was good on all converts and kicked a 25-yard field goal.

Defensive backs Alex Sutton and Andrew Rychlo picked off one pass apiece and linebacker Evan Nelson led the team in tackles.

Monday the Bulldogs visit the McNally Tigers for a controlled scrimmage.

League play for the Bulldogs in pool B starts Sept. 25 against the Ross Sheppard Thunderbirds at 7:30 p.m. at Clarke Park.

Last year the Bulldogs finished 9-0 as the first junior football championship team in Bellerose history.
