Bellerose Bulldogs Football

Bulldogs Football is very proud to announce that the City of St. Albert will celebrate the completion of the Riel Park Amenities Building with an official renaming of the field.  City Council is responsible for naming of municipally-owned buildings and significant infrastructures.  Administration referred the naming of this facility to the Technical Naming Review Panel.  The panel reviewed requests as well as the approved Potential Significant Names List and recommended a name based on the facility's location and use.  On Monday August 28, 2017 St. Albert City Council approved the naming of the facility as the Larry Olexiuk Field.

Larry Olexiuk is the founding father of High School Football in St. Albert and has been coaching football in the Edmonton Metro region for over 50 years.  This past spring Larry was named to the Football Alberta hall of fame and has received many honours for his significant contribution to the community as well as youth sports.

Please welcome us in congratulating one of our own, Larry "Coach O" Olexiuk on this well deserved honour.  From this day forward the community and Bulldogs Football will refer to the St. Albert home football field as Larry Olexiuk Field.

There will be an official naming ceremony by the City of St. Albert sometime in the next couple of months and we will be sure to let you know the date of the official naming and celebration.
